We see a definite uptake in interest in consumers choosing HSA's, or Health Savings Accounts. Requirements for individuals and families are easily determined and then met to to see if the idea of having such a plan is for you.
All HSA's must be tied to a High Deductible Health Insurance Policy or Tax-qualified High Deductible Plan. Simply stated, your out-of-pocket up to a pre-set amount is paid by you and once this is met, your insurance plan takes over and can pay 100% of your medical bills.
You establish in advance or simultaneously with your insurance plan, an HSA account with a deposit that then can be used to pay the eligible and allowable expenses.
