Re Bopping in Denver!

Today is a good day to re-bop! That's an old jazz term from my friend, singer Mark Murphy! It's like hooking up again, and bopping about stuff from the past...or put another way - reminiscing about the future!

After a dry and very mild winter, today on the 26th of April Denver is under a Winter Storm Warning...it's been snowing for a few hours and although it seems to have lightened up at this 4pm hour, the prognostication is for 12-24 inches before it gets outta here! That's ok, we need the moisture...and this snow is good and wet!

A couple of days ago, I had fished one of those soaker hoses out of the long flower bed that its called home..not wanting to energize the sprinkler system in fear of freezing weather like today, I decided on a manual watering operation.

All seemed to be going according to Hoyle and giving our yard a much needed drink. I decided to leave this soaker hose rig out in the yard...lo and behold, our youngest Mascot (pictured on the home page of this website) decided to do a little gnawing on this old hose...long story shortened...the hose is history..all my fault for leaving it there and I sure hope that Murphy MacIntosh, the lovable 1 year old Scottish Terrier had a great time!

At the height of this morning's snowfall, I took the boys out there for a romp in the snow and shoveled their piddlin' paths and spots...usually, we walk the woods and trail that is located behind our house, but today seems like not a good thing to try...maybe tomorrow...we hardly miss a day save for inclement weather.

Speaking of nice weather and nice singers, if you haven't visited our LifeStyle Pages lately, you'll find links of several of our people and companies that we share specially with you. One such is singer Libby York who often times can be found in either Key West, Florida or Chicago. Libby is a consumate interpreter of the Great American Songbook and then some.

You can visit Libby via her website...check out her music and view a Utube video of her in performance. Her music is available through her website and I highly recommend it.

If you have a gift of singing like Libby or even a product and service that you believe that our readers and visitors would like to know about...by all means, let me hear from you with the details...we'll put your information, pictures, links on our site for FREE! I would delight in that!

See...I'm more about being in the people business than being in the insurance and financial services business...I believe that all people need to be treated as such and I also have the inner mission to share with anybody that decides to be friends..no, this isn't a social network, but an opportunity for you to connect with some of the finer things in life...like Libby York!

I also believe, in case you wondered, that God is my boss...in spite of an economy and oft chaotic times we live in...God is a God of plenty...of increase..and He takes ordinary people and creates extraordinary things. After all, He created you and I as the head...not the tail..believing so...we shall see favour far and beyond what we've ever seen..ages to come..far and beyond. Explosive Blessings!

Thanks for dropping by to read these words...and above all...DARE TO BELIEVE!

Life's Little Pleasures REbopped!

I lead a simple life...now that the 100 year old Rocky Mountain News has stopped publishing it's the Denver Post and a morning cup of freshly ground, brewed Java! Usually the view from my coffee klatch area is the front-range of the Rocky Mountains...still snowcapped and they look lovely!

Colorado is not home to any coffee plantatations, but many craft-beer brewers call Colorado home. If I'm going to have a beer, it's a good one. Tonight before supper was just such a night. The New Belgium Brewing of Ft. Collins has been putting out some dandy brews for beer aficianados for some time. If you're fortunate to live in their distribution market, make sure you try one of their good ones for this time of year - 1554 Enlightened Black Ale. As the name implies, way on the dark side but full of flavour and a tad of bright taste side, uncommon for a lot of dark beers seen around St. Patrick's Day.

Right down the road from their bigger brewing brother in Ft. Collins, the Odell Brewing Company also turns out some very fine craft-brewed beverages.

Speaking of St. Patrick's Day - a lot of places around here will be celebrating the "Luck of the Irish" and other things Irish! This weekend, the two Mascots, McDuff McTavish and his little brother, Murphy MacIntosh will be in the annual celebratory parade under the auspices of the Rocky Mountain Scottish Terrier Club...it's a first for the boys and they'll be all spiffed up with fresh haircuts and even possibly a shamrocked bandana!

And...since you've asked...YES, I do like jazz, particularly vocal jazz! This love affair has been going on for a long time, starting back in Detroit where I barked my knuckles on the drums and sang in several groups. BUT, once I discovered the beauty of this music, there was never any turning back for me. Although I'm not playing I still listen a lot. We're fortunate in Denver to have KUVO-FM that provides one of the best jazz radio outlets in the country. My man Arturo Gomez, Music Director, has done wonders with this station...even in spite of the economic crush that has affected everybody - everywhere.

From time to time, you'll find music artists on our LifeStyles Page, elsewhere on this website...in fact, you'll find lots of good stuff and I invite you to cruise on over to the LifeStyles Page...as we call it...of the not so rich and famous. Join us! If you have a product or service that you would like to share with our visitors to this site, please contact me and let's talk it over! It's FREE!
Here at Dennis Bukantis Marketing, we make it our business to help you in any way that we can with promoting your business, as well as providing you with FREE consultation in the world of medical insurance products...and some related products.

Soon, we're going to be featuring audio messages (the IT people call it Podcasting)...we're working on the production now and getting the various platforms in place. We also expect to move into the world of Internet Television soon too. More on this as we move this along.

Above all, I have tried to make your experience here and with us, a very positive and enjoyable thing..as my friend Carl Bloetscher, one of Detroit's outstanding attorney's says...It's a beautiful thing, Dennis! We couldn't agree more.

Thanks for dropping in on the Words of Wisdom Department...please feel free to comment on anything that you find on this site. You'll find the comment page on this website expressly for that purpose! I would love to hear from you! Until next time!

Medical Insurance For Small Business

If you're a small business owner/operator, you've come to the right place to learn about setting up quality medical coverage for you and your family.

When I say small business, I mean generally a group of one, with dependents, usually a spouse and children.

Individual Plans for what is called a Business Group of One in Colorado, Michigan and many other states can be a significant way to manage your costs.

Individual major medical plans are usually fully underwritten by insurance companies. While underwriting guidelines vary among companies, if you do purchase coverage under a Small Business Group of One, certain tax advantages and deductions may apply. We urge you to consult your tax professional on this aspect of your plan.

At Dennis Bukantis Marketing, we can assist you in designing just the right coverage based on your wants. We use highly sophisticated eTools to accomplish this for you from start to finish..that is, from the first proposal to the final issue - all done through the web. This saves your precious time, and mine too, while I'm able to provide you an insurance product of your design, efficiently and with the best possible rates available in today's medical insurance marketplace.

I've made a lot of friends out of strangers..and you can read some great testimonials of that fact on the 'Customer Appreciation' page on this website.

If you've noticed our 'Complaint Department' on the Home Page of this website - I'm thinking of closing it down...we just don't get any complaints from our work!! Nah...the Scotties would not like that..after all, they have to earn their life of luxury here at the office! If you ever drop by, I'll introduce you to these charming pure-bred Scottish Terriers, McDuff McTavish and Murphy MacIntosh...McDuff is 4 while 'The Murph' is just a year old...they love people!

Well, from a sort of sunny and hazy day at about a mile-high, I wish you all the best - and look forward to assisting you with your insurance matters - I will really appreciate that opportunity of showing you the best possible experience in filling your wants!

Thanks for dropping in on these Words of Wisdom today!

Life's Little Pleasures

Here it is about 4pm, MST, and I just finished up a cup of fresh ground and brewed, Mocha Java made with Decaf Sumatra Beans. It was the perfect afternoon beverage, you know from the smell of the fresh beans being ground then giving off it's fragrance when the water hit the grounds...(I use the Melitta method when I'm making only a cup or two)...this whole drink is made with a touch of dark chocolate and then topped with fresh, whipped creme and a dash of cinnamon. Going with this fine cup of coffee was a dark chocolate Biscotti from Paula's Biscotti's out of Michigan. She's an interesting person in that she's developing the bakery, the online store and the goods to provide the BEST Biscotti that I've ever tasted. You can find a recipe that she was gracious enough to share on our friend's website: www.ashleyfamous.com
As jazz vocalist Mark Murphy sang, 'What a Way to Go'!

Speaking of jazz singers, make sure that you visit our LifeStyles Page on this site and check out vocalist and actress, Luba Mason. Her latest CD is called Krazy Love and is a collection of some very good music, mostly in the Brasilian idiom, but guaranteed to make you wanna Samba!...once you're on Luba's site you can find a whole lot of stuff that this lady does including a couple of short videos of her staring on the popular tv show, Law & Order! I believe that you'll find her very pleasing to the ears and eyes...and enormously talented.

We like to bring things to you that are way beyond the world of insurance products - I mean, I'm pretty sure that your life is much more than dealing with insurance, so we like to inform you about things and people that aren't commonly found elsewhere...you know, it's like making the uncommon- common. BUT...when your insurance wants come up, please give me the opportunity of working with you on it - and shucks, if you're in the area drop in...and I'll even make you a cup of fresh Costa Rican Coffee!

Thanks for your visit today and enjoy the music and coffee!

All the best from Denver,

Health Insurance For Everyone!

Ok, I've been asked many times over the past couple of days to comment on the talk...and it's just talk, of the government stepping up to the plate to offer some kind of health plan for everybody.

If you've been laid off from an employer and you and your family were covered under a company sponsored health plan, you generally have the option of continuing those benefits under a program called, COBRA. Usually, the coverage is not quite as good as what you had and often times you will be required to pay a whole lot more now even if you were on the co-insurance plan with your employer. And, coverage under COBRA is never to be considered permanent.

But, getting back to the idea that the current administration is talking up now daily. Step back from the television for just a minute and ask yourself; 'Just who is going to pay for this?'

The general consensus of those who seem to understand the current monetary policies of this country feel that it is YOU that will pay for any program of entitlement. It won't be free. There must be a quid pro quo.

Furthermore, expecting the government to manage such a health care plan for everybody is like offering you ownership of any number of bridges over the Hudson River.

I'm trying my best to meet the wants of people that have felt the crunch like most of us have. If you're laid off and need to keep yourself and family insured, I can likely meet your needs, on your basis. I see a trend by people to want to insure themselves for the big bill and take care of the routine things themselves.

Out of pocket cost containment is possible by using the above guidelines. I'll tell you how when you contact me.

If you're reading this article, you can find the quoting link on the Home Page..just provide me basic information and I'll get back with you to talk it over.

Writer John Pugsley, had this to say about the government. "Government doesn't work. You work, I work, FedEx works, Safeway works...but the government doesn't work."

Thanks for dropping into this page..until next time!
